Efficient Human Resource Management in Health Care Organizations
You are the human resources executive at your organization and have been asked to give a presentation to the board of directors regarding how you will recruit, select, and retain high-caliber candidates in an area where you have a shortage of health care workers.
Analyze the shortage of health care professionals in your community and choose a job position that currently needs more workers, such as nurses, radiologists, infection control professionals, etc.
In your presentation, be sure to:
- Provide an overview of possible contributing factors as to why the shortage exists.
- Address the need to complete a proper job development and analysis, what those entails, and the importance of proper job design. Also, discuss the need for any work redesign in managing your recruitment to help individuals find meaningful employment that aligns with their skills, interests, and goals while meeting the needs of employers.
- Identify the compensation and performance evaluation needed for this position.
- Discuss how you will recruit new high-caliber employees into the organization, including key elements of your selection process.
- Provide information regarding at least three strategies contributing to positive organizational relations and how the organization plans to implement them to retain all employees long-term.
Include references either on the applicable slide or as a single slide at the end of the presentation deck. Your slide deck should be between 7–10 slides, excluding the title slide.
Minimum Submission Requirements:

- Your communication is highly ordered, logical, and unified, as well as original and insightful.
- Your submission displays exceptional content, organization, style, and mechanics.
- A separate slide at the end of your presentation contains a list of references.
- Include both in-text and reference list citations where appropriate and reference all sources used following proper APA citation style.
